• 2011-10-01 - October declared Rett Syndrome Awareness Month by Minnesota Governor Mark Dayton!

October has been declared by Governor Mark Dayton as RETT SYNDROME AWARENESS MONTH. He is joining other states in this important step towards awareness of Rett Syndrome and a call to action to help the girls who are living with this disorder.

The declaration will be read at:

• 2011-10-01 - National Country Music Sensation Clink Black Launches National Public Service Campaign for Rett Syndrome

In October, IRSF (International Rett Syndrome Foundation) will launch a national Public Service Campaign and satellite radio tour with country music sensation Clint Black, chair of IRSF’s Research to Reality campaign.

• 2010-10-01 - Rett Syndrome research wins $250,000 grant from Pepsi!

  Pepsi has confirmed that the International Rett Syndrome Research Association finished FIRST in the September voting for the $250,000 Pepsi Refresh Grant! THANK YOU!

  This dream could not have become a reality for Rett Syndrome without the incredible help of you -- our friends, family, co-workers and many others. You voted for us daily (FOR 4 LONG MONTHS), and many of you were also instrumental in encouraging others to vote.

  Every penny of this grant will go towards research. Just as meaningful, if not more, the winning of this Pepsi Refresh Grant has ignited a sense of HOPE and ACTIVE ENGAGEMENT of our Rett Syndrome community at a level never experienced before!

  The passion, the perseverance and the incredible heroic efforts of our families and friends was unprecedented and contagious these past four months.
