7th Annual Golf and Dinner Charity Event
The
golf course was filled to capacity at noon as 144 golfers took to the
links to revel in the perfect 80 degree climate and to the rolling
sun-drenched countryside of the Rush Creek Golf Club. Golfers enjoyed
unlimited driving range, on-course contests and prizes, hole-in-one
challenges on all par 3’s, free donated on-course beverages & snacks,
and even picture opportunities with the celebrated Minnesota Vikings
Cheerleaders. A great time was had by all!
Special
Live Entertainment performance by the Scotty Reed band entertained
arriving guests as the Silent Auction kicked off. Golfers and Dinner
guests converged on the terrace and then to the ballroom in the late
afternoon to enjoy Scotty’s music, cocktails, appetizers and a loaded
Silent Auction arrangement.
The
Emerald city of Oz was at Center stage for the enchanting dinner affair,
featuring a grand Yellow Brick Road, Dorothy, Toto and the full cast of
colorful characters. Nearly 300 of our dearest friends and family
stretching from all parts of Minnesota, Wisconsin, and as far away as
San Diego, and fittingly, even Kansas came together within the majestic
ballroom of the Rush Creek Golf Club to share in a magical evening of
celebration of our dream for a cure, and of the life and enduring spirit
of all those living with Rett syndrome.
The
Minnesota Rett Syndrome Research Association would like to thank each of
our major sponsors for their loyalty, support and generous
contributions, and for helping make our “Daring to Dream of A Cure “
2008 event the most successful event of its history; Graybar, Pitney
Bowes, Wells Fargo, Toro, Minnesota Twins, Minnesota Vikings, Brinks
Market, Zeigler / CAT, JB Woodfitter, ActiveStyle, Malt-O-Meal, CC
Masonry, ASI Communications. Thank you sponsors!
