Rett Syndrome Clinic

 

The Minnesota Rett Syndrome Clinic has been serving patients since April 2007.  It is located in the heart of St. Paul at Gillette Children's Specialty Healthcare.  Clinic services focuses on needs of patients with Rett syndrome from birth to late teens, offering genetic testing and overall planning and assistance with medical management, as well as provides a diverse array of medical services, such as seizure management, breath holding, gastrointestinal, rehabilitation issues, scoliosis, orthoses and other ailments that are commonly associated with Rett syndrome. As an added benefit, the Lifetime Clinic located in the Phalen Clinic building in St. Paul, is also available to Rett syndrome patients.  Adult services providing for both outpatient and inpatient care. The Lifetime Clinic offers traditional areas of care such as nutrition management, motor regression, scoliosis treatment, general medical and GYN care, bone health, pain and behavior management, and will also assist with guardianship issues, living arrangements, life planning and other transitional related issues important to those patients and families at this stage in life.
